To take the necessary step forward, the Eagles have to take a step back.
It's time to make the change at quarterback they've put off since Donovan McNabb sustained back-to-back season-ending injuries in 2005-06.
The cold, hard NFL waits for no man. Not even McNabb, who has served the organization well and then some in 11 seasons. The way the Eagles play football, there isn't enough left in the tank of  McNabb to reach the next level.
The legs are all but gone, which is evident in the increasing number of errant throws, as well as the inability to scramble out of danger.
When once the game came so easily, it's now a struggle.
Football is a game of inches measured in split seconds.
McNabb has lost a couple of split seconds.
He's been getting by on his past and charm just a little too long.

this is what the birds should do first either change offensive cordinater or commit to a more balance attack trade d mac it's time iam a fan of his but it's time to go we need to put either vick or kolb in the line up they really need to get a back up center thats just as good as jackson and trade westbrook he still has something in the tank but trade him to lets say cle for cribbs we can give them curtis or demps to replace the return game and we can swap picks then the birds can take a good young pass rusher to help trent cole.
