Kevin Kolb gets $12.26M guaranteed in extension
The Eagles agreed to a one-year contract extension with quarterback Kevin Kolb, whose pact was due to expire after this season.
Kolb gets $12.26 million guaranteed over two years, the deal expiring in 2011.
The uncertainty over the Collective Bargaining Agreement and the threat of a lockout of the players likely kept the sides from doing a longer deal.
Kolb, 25, is in the fourth year of his contract. Andy Reid named him the starter after shipping Donovan McNabb to the Washington Redskins on Easter.
