The Eagles put rookie kick returner-cornerback Jorrick Calvin on injured reserve Thursday with a back injury.
Calvin will be evaluated further before a decision about surgery is made.
Earlier in the week the Eagles elevated Jamar Wall, who can play safety and cornerback, from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.
Calvin averaged 21.6 yards on 32 kickoff returns and 10.4 yards on 12 punt returns. He returned five kickoffs for 81 yards and one punt for nine yards in the 38-31 win over the New York Giants Sunday.
DeSean Jackson will return punts. The Eagles could use Jeremy Maclin or Chad Hall on kickoffs.
Calvin is the eighth Eagle to go on IR this season. Victor Abiamri is on the reserve/PUP list.
