DJax wants to make 'big-time' punt returns

'Hopeful' he can return kicks.
DeSean Jackson's head was spinning with artistic impressions of how he could fit into the offense of new Eagles head coach Chip Kelly.

It only was a matter of time before the special teams thing caught up to him Wednesday.

When the topic is returning punts, Jackson is incapable of shall we say, out-kicking his coverage. Of all the big plays he's made in a five-year career with the Birds, the signature one is the 65-yard walk-off punt return elevating the Eagles to victory over the Giants as time expired at the Meadowlands.

Jackson not only has spoken to Kelly and his staff about returning punts, but is receptive to doing just that.

"So hopefully it will be a little more than last year, being able to get back there and make some big-time punt returns go off," Jackson said. "It's still early so we're trying to figure out everything."

Jackson has taken four punts to the house.
