Roseman: 'Hard to look at JP as a 31-year-old'
While GM Howie Roseman said the Eagles made a statement signing offensive tackle Jason Peters to a five-year, $51.3 million contract, don't expect re-signing elder statesmen to become a trend.
Peters, who got $19.5 million guaranteed, is unique per Roseman.
At the same time Peters is happy enough with the pact that includes $41.3 million in new money that he wants to retire with the Eagles ... whenever that time comes.
Peters suspects he will leave with a legacy as he feels the Eagles under Chip Kelly are poised to take another major step in 2014.
