Marcus Smith II shifts into gear
Marcus Smith
II played a career-high 22 snaps Sunday and was credited with his first tackle, plus a
quarterback hurry that led to Walt Thurmond’s interception setting up the last
Eagles touchdown.
Gone are these stickems on Smith's locker last year. |
The Eagles' first-round draft pick in 2014 played 68 snaps in his rookie season, and although the team credited him with a tackle, they were the only entity to do so.
"Yeah, it gives me great confidence," Smith said. "With more and more reps,
more and more time that I get out there and play ill get better and better. That’s
what BG (Brandon Graham) and Connor (Barwin) always tell me. They just tell me to be ready at all times."
