Goff fined $7,500 for hit on Vick
Finally the Eagles got the attention of the NFL.
Giants LB Jonathan Goff was fined $7,500 for unnecessary roughness, having struck Eagles QB Mike Vick late and out of bounds last Sunday.
The Eagles lobbied for weeks to get the league to protect Vick, perhaps the most electric running QB in football.
On the other hand Eagles CB Dimitri Patterson was fined $7,500 for unnecessary roughness for his horse collar tackle of Hakim Nicks.
