Lombardi says tape of Kolb "very disappointing at times"
It was Mike Lombardi, from the NFL Network, not the late great Lombardi, offering an assessment of Eagles backup quarterback Kevin Kolb on a radio station.
And, all bluntlessness aside, Lombardi told it the way he saw it. The Birds would have gone 7-9 last year had Kolb been the fulltime starter.
Lombardi could see it in the tape. The Eagles and their minions are going to have to do a lot of fluffing as they prepare to shop Kolb, who lost the starting job to Michael Vick (the backup throughout the 2010 offseason, around the NFL.
