Eagles RB Dion Lewis hurts hamstring, questionable for Browns

Rookie running back Bryce Brown.
Andy Reid hedged Friday when asked to name his backup running back, a hint that rookie Bryce Brown could be the guy.

The 223-pound Brown is considerably bigger than running back Dion Lewis (5-8, 195), who wound up on the injury report as questionable for the Browns due to a hamstring issue.

“He reminds me of Bo Jackson the way he runs,” Eagles Pro Bowl running back LeSean McCoy said. “Seriously. He’s a big kid. He’s very fast. He’s strong. He’s more of a straightline runner and we need that. We need that kind of speed and bruiser.”

Lewis nonetheless was listed as a full participant in practice. Ditto rookie defensive tackle Fletcher Cox (knee), who was limited at practice Thursday.

Reid said wide receiver Riley Cooper (shoulder) and safety Colt Anderson (knee) won’t play this weekend.
