McCoy lifts weights; not ruled out for season

McCoy (r) with Jackson.
Eagles quarterback Michael Vick and running back LeSean McCoy lifted weights together Thursday under the watchful eyes of the strength and conditioning coach and others.

Vick was in particularly good spirits nodding toward passersby with a grin on his face.

Both have been out since suffering concussions.

Vick has been sidelined since getting hurt Nov. 11 against the Cowboys.

McCoy was hurt the following week after lowering his head and taking a shot against the Redskins.

While Andy Reid said rookie Nick Foles would be the starting quarterback the rest of the season, he hasn't ruled McCoy out for the rest of the campaign, unlikely as it sounds.

Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg said Thursday he can visualize an Eagles backfield with both McCoy and standout rookie running back Bryce Brown, who's scored two touchdowns in each of the past two games.
