Vermeils visit Eagles-Patriots practice
Wide receiver Riley Cooper, of all Eagles, was returning punts at practice today.
Cooper was the second man up, DeSean Jackson being first. Damaris Johnson, who has a sore hamstring, also returned some kicks.
Eagles offensive linemen Jason Peters (hamstring), Ed Wang (knee) and Nate Menkin (illness) aren't practicing.
Running back LeSean McCoy (knee) was unable to complete practice.
Former Eagles head coach Dick Vermeil is in the house with his grandson, Andy, and Mike Dougherty, the Ridley Park resident and long-time video director who recently retired.

Vermeil checked in with Eagles head coach Chip Kelly and Patriots boss Bill Belichick.
Had Vermeil arrived a little sooner he could have listened to Belichick address the media.
This Belichick retort about the practice schedule sums up the three-time Super Bowl winning man:
“Today is going
to be like yesterday, a little bit different but pretty much the same.”
