Kelly an underdog for first time in 18 games
It's been a while since Chip Kelly has been an underdog.
Kelly and the Eagles are three-point underdogs to the Washington Redskins, their opponent in the regular season opener Monday at FedEx Field.
"We don't pay attention to that," Kelly said. "I've never looked at we were the favorite or we were the underdog. I don't go in there telling our guys what the point spread is. And I don't think any player's mindset is like that."

At Oregon, Kelly's Ducks were the team to beat virtually every week they hit the field.
The last time Kelly's Ducks were underdogs was Nov. 12, 2011. The Stanford Cardinal was favored by 2 1-2 points that day but the Ducks triumphed 53-30. The over-under was 70 1-2 points.
The Ducks went 15-2 in those games they were favored in as they lost to Stanford, 17-14 in overtime last year, and to USC, 38-35.
The opener, Kelly realizes, won't be the last time the Eagles are underdogs.
