Vick "optimistic" about starting Sunday

Michael Vick will make the formal announcement Thursday. And he says it won't be done in tag-team form as last week when he and Nick Foles hit the dais together.
Unless Vick has a setback in the comeback from a strained hamstring, he would be more than OK starting against the Giants, who he hurt the hamstring against three games ago.

Thinks he'll be playing Sunday.

"Absolutely, without a doubt," Vick said. "You're just going to get it out of me right now. I might as well put it all out there. You can't get it out of me right now. I'm optimistic about it."

If Foles makes a miraculous comeback from the concussion that sidelined him Sunday and kept him from practicing today Vick would have to think on it a little harder.

"The soreness has kind of gone away," Vick said. "It's gotten better each and every day. I just don't want to lose sight of what got me to this point."

Interestingly Matt Barkley and G.J. Kinne, the quarterback signed to the practice squad said Barkley and Vick split the first-team snaps. Vick said said "Matt took all the reps."

If it's a smokescreen, it's not dense enough. The Giants will see through it.
