Barwin talks about it in this piece. He says you really don't have to worry about charging it all the time, that it's like a cell phone you use during the day and recharge at night.

If I charged my cell phone only at night I wouldn't be able to use it for much of the day. There's some evidence in this photo that Barwin is leery of the 'S' model's battery draining (he plugs it in virtually every day at work).

All of that said we applaud Barwin for his vision, toughness and willingness to take chances on and off the field.
