Earl Wolff's knee still isn't right.

Wide receiver Jeff Maehl, a huge component of special teams, was cleared to practice Thursday.

The versatility of Maehl has made him one of Chip Kelly's favorite role players dating to their days together at the University of Oregon.

Linebacker Najee Goode (hamstring) and safety Earl Wolff were non-participants in the open part of practice.

Also defensive tackle Clifton Geathers hasn't returned after being excused to take care of personal business.
