Eagles QBs coach joins Dolphins

Foles is going to miss Lazor.
Bill Lazor got an offensive coordinator job.

But the former quarterbacks coach of the Eagles hooked up with the Dolphins, not the Lions as had been reported.

The formal announcement was made Wednesday.

"Bill is an accomplished coach and will be a great addition to our coaching staff," Philbin said in a statement. "Bill has been instrumental in helping players reach their full potential, as players and people at both the college and professional level. He also has a proven track record of success working with a wide variety of offenses."

Lazor was the eternal optimist with the Eagles. He was firmly in the corner of Nick Foles as well as Michael Vick during the quarterback competition  leading up to the regular season.

Foles wound up leading the Eagles to the playoffs and leading the league in passer rating.

With the Dolphins, Lazor will supervise Ryan Tannehill, physically cut from the mold of Foles.
