Eagles re-signing Derek Landri

Hargrove, Landri,  line coach Jim Washburn
With Antonio Dixon done for the season with a torn triceps, the Eagles will re-sign defensive tackle Derek Landri according to team sources.

Landri and defensive tackle Anthony Hargrove were cut after solid training camps and preseasons. It was partly because the Eagles were full of tackles, and partly because as vested veterans, the salaries of those players would have been guaranteed for the season if they were on the roster the opening weekend. Landri can be paid on a pro-rated, weekly basis.

The veteran Landri is a better fit for the Eagles at this point than rookie Cedric Thornton, who is on the practice squad.
