Veteran defensive tackle Derek Landri agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Eagles.
On a conference call Landri said he hoped to agree to a longer deal but was impacted by the ruptured Achilles' tendon sustained by Pro Bowl offensive tackle Jason Peters. The Eagles signed free agent offensive tackle Demetress Bell to a five-year deal.
Landri (6-2, 290) rejoined the Eagles after being cut at the end of training camp. He registered 43 tackles and 2 sacks in a dozen games, leading the defense with eight tackles for loss.

"I would have liked to have had a long-term contract, and we actually had something done about a week and a half ago," Landri said. "JP had that unfortunate accident and it kind of threw a wrench in it for me. I actually thought I wasn’t going to be back there. But both sides had cool heads and we wound up getting something done.”
