Eagles ship Sopoaga to Patriots

The Eagles traded nose tackle Isaac Sopoaga and a sixth-round draft pick to the Patriots for a fifth-round pick in 2014.

The Patriots were desperate for help at nose tackle as Vince Wilfork suffered a torn Achilles' tendon.
Watching Sopoaga's plane take off.

Sopoaga had 10 tackles in eight games with the Eagles after signing a three-year $11 million contract with the Eagles, including $3.75 million guaranteed.

Shortly after signing with the Eagles Sopoaga said the Eagles with rookie head coach Chip Kelly would "shock the world."

The shocker is the Eagles got something for Soap, who clearly is near the end of the line.

Sopoaga played 47 snaps in the loss last week to the Giants but wasn't credited with a tackle.
