Igwenagu (ig-wen-AH-goo) 16th player to make NFL debut with Eagles this season

Program cover.
With tight Brent Celek scratched Thursday night, Emil Igwenagu is on the verge of becoming the 16th player to make his NFL debut with the Eagles this season.

Igwenagu (6-2, 245) was promoted from the practice squad after signing as a rookie free agent out of Massachusetts.

Celek had started every game since entering the NFL in 2007, a string of 98 in a row including the playoffs.

In addition to Celek the Eagles deactivated quarterback  Michael Vick, wide receiver Greg Salas, running backs LeSean McCoy and Chris Polk, safety Kurt Coleman and offensive tackle Matt Kopa.

Tight end Clay Harbor is slated to start his first NFL game, rookie Bryce Brown his fourth straight game at running back, Colt Anderson his second straight at free safety.

The Bengals scratched kicker Mike Nugent (right calf), among others. Newly signed kicker Josh Brown replaces  Nugent.
