Westbrook cut first of several shocking moves

The Eagles announced Tuesday they will cut veteran running back Brian Westbrook, marking the first of what likely will be a series of dramatic offseason moves.
Westbrook, 30, played in just eight games last season due to concussion and ankle issues, as well as the play of LeSean McCoy. The Villanova University product tallied just two touchdowns, after entering the season with 44 touchdowns in the previous six seasons.
Subtracting Westbrook will save the Eagles money. He was due to make $7.25 million in base pay this year, including $1.507 million in bonuses.
Eagles head coach Andy Reid is scheduled to discuss the move at 3 p.m.
The future of quarterbacks Donovan McNabb, Kevin Kolb and Mike Vick also will be addressed shortly by the Eagles
