2010 opener focus of concussion workshop

Brent Celek.
Concussions to then-Eagles Kevin Kolb and Stewart Bradley within minutes in the 2010 season opener were shown on video  to NFL officials Tuesday as an instructional aid.

Unfortunately the officials have been locked out by the owners, who are reluctant to give them a contract on anything but their own terms.

Veteran Eagles want the veteran officials reffing the games. Brent Celek told me the familiarity is huge on game day. Players know how officials officiate, and officials understand the way players play.

Here's a link to the concussion symposium:

Peters busted; disturbing peace

Eagles offensive tackle Jason Peters was arrested in Shreveport, La. for disturbing the peace (http://tinyurl.com/4spwgqp).

Right offensive tackle King Dunlap was arrested a few weeks ago for disobeying a police request to move his vehicle in Tennessee (he was picking up his disabled father).

Both have plenty of time to get their stories right and/or show remorse. They're forbidden from speaking to the coaching staff until the lockout is over.
