25. Steelers – Vonn Bell, S, Ohio State: Just the kind of get-after-it football player the Steelers have been missing since Troy Polamalu retired.

Eagles kicker Cody Parkey and special teams standout Trey Burton were voted to the all-rookie team by the Pro Football Writers Association of America.

Neither was drafted.

No other Eagles made the squad including second-round draft choice Jordan Matthews. Odell Beckham and Mike Evans were the receivers. Beckham was voted rookie of the year.

King Dunlap questionable for Steelers.

Demetress Bell (OT) and Jamar Chaney (LB) start again this week in the wake of injuries to King Dunlap and Akeem Jordan, respectively.

The Eagles oppose the favored Steelers at 1 p.m. Sunday at Heinz Field (Fox 29, WIP 94.1-FM).

Out: LB Akeem Jordan (hamstring)

Questionable: S Colt Anderson (knee), OT King Dunlap (hamstring), DT Derek Landri (knee)

Jason Peters' replacement?

Free agent offensive tackle Demetrius Bell (6-5, 305) is visiting the Eagles this afternoon per a league source.

With Pro Bowler Jason Peters out indefinitely with a torn Achilles' tendon, the Eagles have an opening for a tackle.

Bell impressed the Eagles on their loss last season at Buffalo, stepping in for an injured starter.

Bell visited the Pittsburgh Steelers Friday.

NBC commentator Tony Dungy didn't take long to weigh in on the struggles of the Eagles and the Steelers after their games Sunday.

“The two teams from Pennsylvania, the Eagles and the Steelers, are both in trouble and it’s for the same reason," Dungy said on Football Night in America. "They have a lot of star players, a lot of skill position guys but their offensive lines can’t protect the passer, and their defensive lines can’t stop the run.” 

Dungy, of course, mentored Eagles quarterback Mike Vick. Should the Eagles choose to replace Reid,  or the Big Guy decides top move into thee front office, Dungy could be an intriguing successor.
